If the speakers in a 2x12 are 8 ohms then you can get 4 or 16 ohms. A 4x12 with 16's will give you 16 or 4 ohms. This is pretty much the standard with tube cabinets. I swapped the V30 for an old T1221 to fill out the mids instead, but that's just because I could. There's some good cab manufacturers in the US that are really cheap, and you can just buy the speakers and load them yourself.
