I don't have to get my ear down by the speaker to hear it. It's a crackling and static sound. I can hear it OVER the radio if the volume is 7 or less. It's pretty irritating. I actually got into the dash and moved some wires around and it cleared up for a few weeks. Did some light offroading and it's back.

While in the car (moving or stopped) at random intervals the radio would cut out with a popping sound. All of the radio buttons still operate but there is no sound coming from the speaker. Example being the ding you usually get when you touch an input on the screen. It would just make the loud noise instead of the ding... very strange. I love the short shift bracket.
